Moving into a new home can take some time

Remember the last time you moved into a new house? I'll bet things were a mess for a little while, right?
Well, we at The Sun, are still getting situated with things here at SheridanSun.com. We apologize if some of our new, fascinating features are not available, but we promise that if you keep checking back, we'll
eventually get all of the cobwebs swept off the site and out of the url.
For now, explore and let us know if there are features you can't stand or features you don't want to live without. Register and check out My Sun. Did you know you can share a
SheridanSun.com story with your Facebook buddies? Or attach a timely news story to a Twitter. (You'll have to ask someone else how to do that, though. When I hear Twitter, my first thought is of that darn Puddy Tat, Sylvester.)
Involved with one of the many local organizations? Start adding events to our events calendar. Things might be adjusted here, but we'll make sure and keep your non-profit events posted. We will probably figure out a way to charge for-profit listings.
Speaking of charging. Providing quality community journalism isn't cheap. By the time we get them working smoothly, we will be charging for online classified advertisements and business listings in our new online Business Directory, see the tab at the top of the page. Of course, we'll be offering these services at great low prices that will include publication in our weekly print edition that reaches more than 5,000 local readers every week.
We are also planning to charge readers for access to this website once we get all our operations ironed out. However, all subscribers to our print edition will receive free access to SheridanSun.com and all of its exciting new features.
Oh, have you checked out our photo gallery yet. I'm super pumped about this one. Since cameras went digital I've been taking about 300 photos per sporting event I've attended and I usually have to pick one or two to run in the newspaper. Now, you'll find many more photos of local sports and other events online at SheridanSun.com. We've always offered reprints for sale, but now it's easier than ever to purchase a photo from The Sun.
