Code of Conduct on agenda Feb. 23

The Willamina City Council will discuss the city’s Code of Conduct for appointed and elected officials at a work session on Feb. 23. The council adopted the code with a split vote on Dec. 15 without accepting input from the audience.

As a result, one member of the planning commission stormed out of the room and has withdrawn from participation in community matters. Another appointee to the planning commission subsequently resigned.

The council will review the approved code and look at examples when it meets tomorrow. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. It will be held at City Hall, 411 N.E. C St.
